Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is an exfoliating treatment in which a carefully selected acid solution — such as glycolic, salicylic, lactic, or trichloroacetic acid — is applied to the skin to remove damaged outer layers and reveal fresher, more radiant skin beneath. Peels range from superficial (light) to medium depth depending on the formulation used, and are selected based on your skin concerns and tolerance.

Peels range from superficial (light) to medium depth depending on the formulation used, and are selected based on your skin concerns and tolerance.

Light peels involve little to no visible peeling and virtually no downtime, while medium-depth peels may cause visible flaking and redness for 5–7 days as the skin renews itself. Results include improved skin tone, refined texture, reduced hyperpigmentation, fewer fine lines, and a more luminous complexion. A series of light peels is often recommended for ongoing maintenance.

Chemical peels are well-suited for patients dealing with sun damage, uneven pigmentation, dullness, mild acne, or early fine lines. Results are most predictable on fair-to-medium skin tones, and your Medispot provider will select the appropriate peel formulation based on your skin type, Fitzpatrick scale, and desired outcome.
